Common trap: Prokaryotes are not empty bags without organization. They have membranes, ribosomes, DNA, and regulated biochemical processes, even though they lack the classic eukaryotic membrane-bound organelles.
Common trap: Facilitated diffusion and active transport both use proteins. Distinguish them by direction relative to the relevant gradient and by their energy coupling.
Common trap: Ribosomes, not the Golgi, join amino acids into the primary polypeptide sequence. Plants also have mitochondria; chloroplasts do not replace respiration.
Common trap: The nucleus is not explained by the classic mitochondrial/chloroplast endosymbiosis evidence. Also, an organelle having some DNA does not mean it can survive independently.
